Nexon’s PvPvE Extraction Shooter Arc Raiders Launching in 2025 With Steam Playtest Starting on 24 (No Longer F2P)

Nexon announced that their PvPvE shooter ‘Arc Raiders’ is set to launch in 2025. The game is being developed Nexon’s Embark Studios subsidiary and will hold a playtest on Steam between October 24 – 27. The game will be available on PC and consoles sometime in 2025. The game was originally planned as a free to play game, but ditched that business model and is now buy to play. It will cost $40 at launch.

Arc Raiders bill itself as a survival shooter with PvP and PvE elements. It’s taking advantage of the recent boom in extraction shooters as well. Ever since Escape from Tarkov popularized the genre, we’ve seen quite a few new games in the space. Most recently games like Dark and Darker and Dungeonborne have found success in the category.
