World Of Warcraft Rolls Out Hotfixes for Delves Following Community Backlash
[ad_1]
World of Warcraft’s new Delves features has quickly turned into a storm of controversy. Originally designed as solo-focused content, players were quick to discover that tackling these dungeons solo felt like signing up for a one-way trip to the graveyard, while groups breezed through the challenges and snagged high-level rewards with ease.
In response, Blizzard released a hotfix on Thursday aimed at balancing the difficulty and nerfing group play by ramping up the challenge alongside fixes for mob scaling issues. However, the patch still left everyone frustrated. Group players found the content far harder than expected, while solo players were still being one-shot by over-tuned enemies.
Cue the community backlash. Forums and social media exploded with complaints as both sides of the player base voiced their discontent, prompting Blizzard to roll out another hotfix on Friday. “We’ve now brought enemy damage back down closer to our targets, the most-difficult affixes have been sent back to Tier 9, and scaling adjustments should make group and solo play less lethal,” the devs explained.
While the adjustments are an attempt to level the playing field, it seems like Delves still need further tuning. Solo players still feel the sting of difficulty, and group players are concerned that Delves now feel more like a slog than a challenge. Whether more hotfixes are on the way remains to be seen, but for now, World of Warcraft’s Delves are still the talk of the town—just not for the reasons Blizzard might have hoped.
