Elder Scrolls Online Update 44 Hits PTS with Major PvP Changes And New Companions
[ad_1]
Elder Scrolls Online is shaking things up with Update 44, now live on the Public Test Server (PTS). To access the PTS, players simply need to enable ‘Show Public Test Environment’ in the launcher and download the client.
This update is all about giving PvP a much-needed facelift, particularly in Battlegrounds. Say goodbye to the traditional three-sided chaos; now, matches will be two-sided, featuring 4v4 and 8v8 skirmishes. The classic 4v4v4 mode will only stick around for some of the original favorites like Chaosball and Capture the Relic.
PvP isn’t the only star of the show in Update 44. The free base game update also introduces two new companions: Tanlorin, a High-Elf combining Soul Magic with Dragonknight abilities, and Zerith-Var, a Khajiit necromancer. If you’ve got an active ESO Plus membership, these allies are yours for free—or you can snag them from the Crown Store.
The new Banner Bearer Grimoire also spices up the Support Skill Line with a new mechanic. “Banner Bearer allows you to throw a banner on your back, leading the charge with an AoE buff that matches your chosen Focus,” ZeniMax explains. Whether you’re tanking or healing, this skill ensures your team gets that sweet AoE goodness.
