Grinding Gear Games has released the Path of Exile native client for PlayStation 5, finally and officially bringing the beloved free-to-play action RPG to Sony’s latest console, as opposed to playing it as a backward compatible PlayStation 4 title. The standalone client is now available on the PlayStation Store, promising improved performance and visuals tailored for next-gen console users.

If you’ve been running Path of Exile on PlayStation 4, don’t worry—you can still play that version. But if you’re eager for smoother gameplay, better load times, and ehnanced visuals, the PlayStation 5 client is calling your name. Just head over to the store, download it separately, and dive into the chaos.

While you can use your existing accounts, there’s a slight catch: supporter packs aren’t live yet on PS5, but they’re coming soon. Grinding Gear Games says they’ll be available by next week. In the meantime, PS4 players can still snag those packs, but the full PS5 experience is just a click away.

Meanwhile, Path of Exile’s latest season is in full swing, with a community-run Class Gauntlet event kicking off on September 26th. The event will take place in a Hardcore Solo Self-Found Settlers League, with plenty of rewards up for grabs.
